From New York Times Bestselling author, Sawyer Bennett, comes a SEXY new stand alone romance…

When you're a rock god, fame and fortune are your two best friends, but they can be fickle bed mates. It seems everyone wants a piece of me. I'm being sued, pressured to sign contracts, and fending off rabid women who want to steal my virtue. Just kidding on that one. We all know I don't have much virtue left.

That's why I need Emma Peterson. The sharp-as-a-tack and sexy-as-sin lawyer saved my ass before and I know she can do it again. The only problem is that sweet, prim and totally straight-laced Emma doesn't want anything to do with me. Not professionally, and certainly not personally.

But c'mon. Everyone wants me, and even though it would take a crow bar of epic proportions to get her to spread those sexy legs for me, all I want is her mind. I swear. Her beautiful, brilliant mind to make sense of my crazy world. Good thing I have something up my sleeve to get her to say “yes”. Some might call it blackmail. I call it something else.

Looks like Emma Peterson just became my biggest defender. If only I can resist wanting to screw my attorney six ways to Sunday.

*Sexy Lies and Rock & Roll is a sexy stand alone and can be read independent of the other Legal Affairs books.

  • Not what I expected

    By Mom's Cooking The Books
Another great book for Sawyer Bennett, however it wasn’t what I expected. I liked it, but I didn’t love it. I know that is odd for me, because I love her writing. I can’t put into words why it didn’t do it for me. I liked the characters, but Emma’s insecurities got old after a while. It was well written and the story was good, but I could predict what was coming. This is a fun sexy read and everyone reads the same book differently, so please take a chance and read it.
  • The Real Deal...

    By Agent$$$$
Sexy Lies and Rock and Roll is a funny, sweet, rock and roll romance. Evan, your "typical" rock star finds himself in trouble and needing an attorney. Instead of helping her nephew out herself, Midge turns to Emma for assistance. Emma is in her first year as a lawyer and absolutely HATES her job! She likes to work in a stuffy, controlled environment and would love to work in contracts. So when Midge assigns her to a case, she is shocked. Evan is intrigued by the stuffy, uptight lawyer his aunt sent to help him. So much so, he hires her to be his lawyer as he starts his first tour. The more they work together and get to know each other, the harder it is to not give into their physical attraction. Tyler, Evan's friend and manager, doesn't care for Emma. Tyler never makes snide comments in front of Evan, but whispers unkind words in Emma's ear every chance he gets. It doesn't help that Emma is insecure and lacks confidence in her beauty and work as an attorney. When Tyler sets up Evan to make it look as though he's cheating on Emma, Emma runs. Tyler's true identity is finally revealed, but the damage may be too great to overcome. I really enjoyed this novel. I did think it was a little slow in the middle. I had a feeling Tyler would do something to jeopardize Evan and Emma's relationship, but it took awhile before he made his move. I loved how the novel ended though! I loved that Evan finally realized Emma gave him her opinion, something she'd previously refused to do. I loved how Evan teased Emma into blushing all the time. Absolutely adorable! I also loved Midge! Lastly, I really liked that Evan was not your "typical" rock star. He was grounded and didn't let fame go to his head! I recommend this novel for those who enjoy Rock star romances. I read a gifted copy and all opinions stated are my own opinions.
  • Annoying rather than endearing

By Big fan of great reporting
Inwas so excited about this book and even pre-ordered it. Perfect timing released near a holiday--nice, fun read with good sounding plot. What a let down. The plot was thin and predictable. Supporting characters also thin and stereotyped to boring. Largely internal monologue that was repetitive and neither moved the character nor plot forward. Never got the attraction between hero and heroine. The hero was fine. The heroine not so much. She stayed wrapped up so tight that she never moved from annoying to endearing. I never got what she did for the hero or why she was such a draw. "Beautiful" is not a good enough reason nor is "she's so real." At one point she's described as a conceited fool making mistakes and that's her the entire book. Literally never gets over herself. I skimmed the last part after the conflict--curiosity mainly: would she, could she redeem herself? Nope. She'll stew in her own rotten juice waiting on the hero to pull her out. Disappointed in such a character. Unlikeable to the point it ruined the book. I mean come on...if a hero had acted that selfishly and mean, we'd expect a Grand Gesture. Why does she slide? Nope. I say skip even if you normally like this author.
  • Pride can be a very powerful thing

    By Kambie07
This was a really great yet quick read. The point was made as it should have been. If it was longer then it would be redundant. Musicians/Bad Boys always get a bad rap and never get the benefit of the doubt. Evan saw something in Emma. She just didn't see it herself. I think they were both what the other needed. The story did move quick but it wasn't insta-love. Just enough drama to keep you interested. Greed can destroy even the strongest of people. Lies can too. But forgiveness is the key. Its hardest when pride wins.
  • Swoon worthy

I'm completely loved Evan and Emma's story. I'm left wanting more. I definitely how those to connect consider they are opposite. I'm totally addicted. I'm sad that It is over. Can't wait to see what Sawyer Bennett has in the future. 💕💕👍👍

Evan is the perfect alpha hero and Emma is a lovely lady who blooms under Evan's attention. This book almost reads like a movie to me. Love the way Sawyer tells a story. There is deceit but above all there is love in this story. Guarantee you will love it.
  • So Sexy & Sweet

Oh How I Loved This Sexy, Sweet Romance of Opposites Attract. I am so addicted to Sawyer Bennett and her writing skills. I devoured this story in one sitting unable to move my eyes from the pages of my kindle. Her writing just flows so easily that you don't want to stop reading. This is unbelievably sexy and sweet, that will leave you completely captivated, while her characters come alive and jump off the page. The chemistry is combustible and your fingers will feel the burn with every flip of the page. This is definitely a must read. Get yours now! Highly Recommended. Received a ARC through NetGalley and voluntarily agreed to post a honest review.
  • Sweet & Sexy

Another great read from Sawyer Bennett, not only is the sexy musician one to sweoon over but Emma is someone that I would love to be friends with. Evan and Emma are as different as two can be but it's the differences taht pull them together like two magnets. This was a sweet and sexy read, it had some angst, and you get a HFN/HEA ending!! I would recommend this book to anyone that has read Sawyer's books, and if you are looking for a new author this would be a great introduction into the world of Sawyer Bennett Books.
  • Evan & Emma

Absolutely loved this book! I wasn't too fond of Ms. Bennett's Wicked series. They weren't bad, but didn't grab and hold my interest like Sexy Lies and Rock & Roll did. It's full of lots of emotion and flows at a fabulous pace. It was fun watching Evan and Emma's relationship develop. And we get to see Midge again (love that woman!). Of course things aren't always smooth sailing for them. And I so do not like one man in this book (I was wishing very bad things on him). But Horace Wigglesworth is hands down a new favorite of mine! This is a book I will reread.
